Bristol dweller, Kahn, returns to the Punch Drunk imprint this October with two dizzying tracks. A-side, ‘Illy’, reveals a contrasting side to the bass-driven producer – pitch manipulated vocals layered over a synth-heavy structure and a heavily Grime-enthused drop – showing the listeners this savvy has a lot more to offer. B-side, ‘Tehran’, takes a trip to the Middle East, we’ll be the first to admit we’ve been hearing a lot of Middle Eastern-enthused tracks just now, but it’s the way Kahn fuses beautiful samples and his knack for molding drum patterns, that makes this a deserving listen.
